The vocational schools in kronach and lichtenfels should not only work on a subject-specific project in class, but should also share information at eye level in a network, from the merchant to the mechanic to the logistician – in line with the concept of "industry 4".0" and of today’s everyday working life in modern operations. So they set up a real and a virtual production facility at their schools from scratch, with which they can fill substitutes into individual cans by machine.

This new approach to teaching, which is supported by the two counties as well as several companies, has long attracted attention. The first reward for the school’s efforts is a guest appearance wednesday at the vocational training congress in nurnberg. "The interaction of the two vocational schools is unusual and novel", karl wilbers from the university of erlangen-nurnberg explains.
